MyCity4Kids Review

Who hasn’t heard about KidZania? This internationally renowned kid’s edutainment attraction, finally opened its doors to Delhi NCR-ites, and trust me, it was worth the wait. Built like a city for kids, complete with paved roads, battery operated cars, buildings, a functioning economy and its own currency, at KidZania, kids are empowered through 90+ real-life role-playing activities in a highly safe and secure environment.

Watch your child become a Pilot and fly a plane, become a Surgeon and perform a liver transplant or maybe he wants to be fire fighter and help save a hotel that’s on fire! As in the real world, children perform "jobs" and are either paid for their work (as a Stylist, Surgeon, CSI Agent etc.) or pay to get a service (University, Culinary School, Department Store).  They learn to navigate the real world.

MyCity4Kids Tip: Be prepared to spend a lot of time here. We were there for 3 hours and barely scratched the surface. They have eating options on the premises, so food is taken care of. The best part is, in this ultra-safe kids environment you can sit down and put your feet up while your kids run around exploring the city!  What makes it safe is that the entire family gets fitted with electronic wrist bands so if you are looking for your child you can virtually find them on the premises!

MyCity4Kids Verdict:  This place is amazing. I loved it, and more importantly my 5 and 7 year-old boys loved the experience! They didn't want to leave (though that's nothing new). It was the first time they were empowered and welcomed in to the world of adulthood. When they were running short of money, they ran off to get a job to earn some more!

All the locations, be it the hospital, the courtroom, the construction site, the fire station (where they donned the awesome uniforms, learned some on the job training, then hopped in to a fire engine to fight a fire!) were all so well done. You could even make a pizza at Dominos (and then eat it!), or make a Frooti using their machines!

I suggest you go with some friends and enjoy a cup of coffee while the kids can roam around, independently, figuring out their way around the “real world”. Moms will walk out well rested, and kids will walk out like little independent adults!

Age Group: 4- 14. While the majority of “experiences” are for kids 4 and up, my friend came with her 1.5 year old and he enjoyed walking around and exploring the toddler section on the 1st floor.

Location: GIP Entertainment City, Sector 38A, Noida (Between the Great India Place Mall and the new Garden Galleria Mall, adjacent to Decathlon)
